Hello,

My name is Todd Griner. I had the honor of coaching a great group of 13-14 Boys this summer at the Dolphin Club/ACAC. They recently performed at the very top of the State and created a lot of excitement for the Club and its members this past weekend.

ACAC excelled at the 2007 Indiana Summer Age Group State Championships @ Fishers High School July 27-29. Its our hope you could run a follow up story from your great coverage of the Dolphin Invitational earlier this month July 13-15. Below is some basic information and results from the State meet.

ACAC placed 31st in the State meet with 119.5 points out of 95 participating clubs. ACAC swam at 99% best times for the entire weekend and broke 1 ACAC team record. ACAC captured 5 top 8 finishes earning state final medals. The kids worked extremely hard all spring and summer and peaked very well for the State Championships. Anderson should be proud of them.

Kyle Johnson led the way for ACAC and will extend his summer competition schedule by competing/representing Team Indiana next weekend at the USA Swimming Central Zone Championships @ Cleveland State University in his best event the 1500 Meter freestyle also known as "the mile". This is a National All Star Meet and very prestigious for a swimmer his age. Kyle is extremely dedicated and works very hard on a daily basis. He knows it takes great dedication/work ethic and commitment to achieve this level of success and gave 100% all season towards his goals. He is a joy to coach!

ACAC 2007-2008 Fall Winter Stroke Clinic and TEAM Sign Up Information

Attention all current and former ACAC members:

A free stroke clinic will be offered both Wednesday 9/5 (Freestyle & Backstroke) & Thursday 9/6 (Breaststroke & Butterfly) from 4:00-6:00 PM @ HHS Pool. New stroke drills and techniques along with teachings on starts, turns and finishes will be reviewed and introduced. It is recommended that the swimmers attend both days of the clinic. This is a great opportunity to get a head start on your upcoming swim season with ACAC and also local middle school and high school swimming seasons. Take advantage of this great FREE learning opportunity.

Attention all NEW swimmers and families interested in joining ACAC:

NEW Swimmer tryouts and evaluations will take place Wednesday 9/5 and Thursday 9/6 from 4:00-7:00 PM at HHS Pool. This is about a 20 minute process. The tryout/evaluation is simply for practice group placement. Providing the swimmers can swim 25 yards of Freestyle and Backstroke they will make the
ACAC Dolphins Team. The swimmers will need to come prepared to swim with swim suit, cap/goggles and
towel. The coaching staff will then place the swimmer in the appropriate practice group based on the evaluation, age and experience. A private evaluation can be scheduled by contacting the coaching staff. Swimmers can join ACAC throughout the season at anytime.

ACAC Start Date - Monday September 10, 2007
